Bay State College is pleased to announce that for the 2022-2023 Academic Year we have teamed up with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBS) and University Health Plans (UHP) to provide health insurance coverage for our students.
2022-2023 Annual Waiver or Enrollment Requests will be accepted through September 30th 2022.
Bay State College's insurance coverage is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) with University Health Plans (UHP) offering administrative support for the enrollment and waiver forms, and customer service for general insurance questions. The Bay State College Health Insurance Plan includes a strong nationwide Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network of providers. Highlights of the Student Health Insurance Plan include a $250 deductible, $20 office visit copay, $150 ER copay, and 100% coverage for preventative care and hospitalizations. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that any degree-seeking student enrolled ¾ time (9 credit hours or more per semester) be covered by a comprehensive health insurance program. To enroll in Bay State College's Student Health Insurance Plan, please submit the Health Insurance Enrollment Form.
· Premium for the full Policy Year is $7,226 and is in effect from September 1st , 2022 - August 31st , 2023
· Premium for the Spring Only plan is $4,518 from of January 1, 2023 - August 31, 2023
· Premium for the Summer Only Plan is $2,412.00 from May 1, 2023 - August 31, 2023
If students are enrolled in a health care plan or are covered by a parent/spouse's health care plan, they may be eligible for a waiver by submitting the Health Insurance Waiver Form. Be sure to have your insurance card available before completing the waiver form. Please save or print the confirmation for your records.

If you do NOT submit a waiver by September 30th 2022, you will remain enrolled in the plan and a charge of $7,226.00 will be applied to your Bay State College account. For students starting in other terms, the waiver deadline dates are below. No refunds will be permitted after the published deadlines.
