Bay State College Call of Duty "God Squad" is Taking Over

Bay State College has welcomed new players to the Esports Call of Duty team! Dubbed the “God Squad” by Esports news outlets, the Vanguard CCL (College CoD League) roster is stacked with two prominent amateurs, Dillon “Wrecks” Slotter and Jacob “Druxy” Eldridge, as well as two former CoD League professionals, Justin “Silly” Fargo-Palmer and Timothy “Phantomz” Landis. Additionally, we have Evan “Fraeway” Gallagher, who will play in Warzone tournaments and serve as an alternate for the standard CoD tournaments. Coached by Parker “Lord Punk” Perentis and Charles “Mystvc” Johnson, they are considered the team to beat this season.  

 

Wrecks is an incredible amateur player who has placed in the top 3 of many of the cups and tournaments he has entered. Druxy has dominated in the Modern Warfare season and saw multiple top 6 and top 8 finishes in the Challengers season. Silly, a high-level competitor, has played for organizations such as Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, eUnited, and Team Envy. He helped teams secure up to $20,000 in prize earnings and place highly in various tournaments. Silly most recently won the Esports Zone Kansas LAN 2021 online tournament with teammates Phantomz and Wrecks. He chose to come to Bay State after being heavily sought after by multiple schools in the CCL due to the prime location of the College in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay. Phantomz is another high-level player, having competed for well-established organizations like FaZe Clan and Evil Geniuses. He decided on Bay State because he considers it an incredible opportunity to be able to finish school and get his degree, while utilizing his gaming talents in the process. After beginning his classes, he found that there were many other gamers in the Bay State community and the support and backing of Esports as a major sport at Bay State makes him feel accepted and the classes more enjoyable. While he felt different from everyone in high school, he says, “I feel like I fit in.” at Bay State.
