Bay State College Takes First Place in League of Legends Tournament

September 30, 2020

Our mighty esports team edged out some tough competition to land the first place seed in the East Regional League of Legends Tournament with PlayVS. They outplaced teams from Binghamton University, McMaster University, Carlton University, Yale University, Cornell University, John Hopkins University, and several others.

"I am extremely excited for how our League of Legends, and Fortnite team are performing," said Bryan Hummel, the Esports Head Coach. "I have been more than impressed with our League of Legends team as well, we have been scrimmaging some of the best teams in the nation and winning. It has been a very competitive environment for all of our players constantly competing for that starting spot."

Hummel states, "I was skeptical bringing in three players for Fortnite who never played together, but they proved me wrong very quickly by earning first place in the PlayVS Summer Showdown."

The entire Bay State College community is excited to see what all of our Esports teams can accomplish this semester and support them fully. For more information, follow the team on Twitter @BayStateEsports!
