Tomorrow, September 11th, marks the 20th anniversary of when our country experienced a horrific attack on New York City's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA. Despite the trauma of these events, we saw our nation unite to come to the aid of those affected. It highlighted the compassionate and tenacious spirit of our nation. The first responders and front-line health care workers were committed to doing all they could to rescue those affected and to offer comfort and solace to the families.
That spirit remains very much alive today. We honor those who sacrificed their lives, and we honor those we continue to serve on the front lines.
