Application for Graduation
If you are nearing the completion of your degree requirements, you must complete the below online application for graduation. If you have questions regarding your eligibility, please contact your academic advisor.
To fulfill the graduation requirements in any program of study offered at Bay State College, students are required to meet all academic requirements. Students must have a final cumulative GPA of a 2.00 or higher, have successfully completed all required courses in their major, and have earned the number of credits prescribed for the program in which they are enrolled.
Pending Graduates
- A minimum of 60 earned credits are required for an Associate's Degree, a minimum of 120 minimum earned credits are required for a Bachelor’s Degree, and a minimum of 29 earned credits are required for a Certificate.
- A minimum of 73 earned credits are required for the Associate of Science Degree in the Nursing program. Students must pass all Nursing professional courses with a minimum of B- or better.
- A minimum of 71 earned credits are required for the Associate of Science Degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Students must pass all PTA professional courses with a minimum of C+ or better.
Walking Candidates
- All active students who have 2 courses or less to complete their degree requirements at the end of the spring term/semester are eligible to participate in Commencement.
- Due to differences in scheduling, students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing program that are completing their degree requirements at the end of the summer term/semester, are eligible to participate in Commencement.
- Since walking candidates have not completed all required courses at the time of commencement, these students should not expect to officially graduate or receive a diploma until a subsequent conferral date when all degree requirements have been met.
- Walking candidates must complete the graduation application and indicate their understanding that they are a “walk-only” candidate in the appropriate section of the form.
