WANTED: Criminal Justice Professionals Who Can Think Outside the Jail Cell. Learn more about our Criminal Justice Degree.

It’s a fact—the U.S. has the highest incarceration rate and the biggest prison population of any country in the world. Our Bay State College Criminal Justice Degree Programs couldn’t be more relevant for those seeking a professional career. Our prison and jail populations have more than doubled in the past 25 years, with one in every 100 Americans now in prison or jail—at a spiraling cost of $51.7 billion in 2008.

Today, America’s criminal justice system is at a crossroads. To meet the challenges ahead, we need a new generation of criminal justice professionals whose clear understanding of past issues will help them find new solutions to these current problems.  At Bay State’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree program, our goal is to help you do just that.

Our Criminal Justice Degree Programs will give you the historical and theoretical knowledge along with the practical skills you need to innovate and succeed in the criminal justice field, including:

  • A broader understanding of criminal justice that focuses on world and social justice as well as domestic justice issues
  • An active sense of inquiry to explore alternatives beyond current “broken” systems and concepts
  • An in-depth understanding of the criminal justice process from investigations through incarceration and reentry
  • Informed decision-making based on ethical, moral, philosophical and legal considerations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Insight into diversity and tolerance issues
  • Expertise with criminological theory, policy and research methodology

Along the way, you’ll work closely with our professors, many of whom are accomplished in their fields and who are committed to educating and inspiring you.  By redefining the concepts of policing and criminal justice, our Criminal Justice Degree Program will also guide you to new career opportunities in such areas as forensic social services, child welfare investigations, prisoner re-entry, domestic violence counseling, and more.

Would you like to know more about how to get a Criminal Justice Degree? Are you ready to open new doors in criminal justice?  We have the key.
