Institutional Scholarships and Grants
Bay State College offers numerous institutional scholarships and grants to students enrolled in the Day Division. The following is a list of annual scholarships and grants available through Bay State College. Many of these are renewable yearly providing you maintain the GPA requirement. Funds are limited, so be sure to apply by the priority deadline of March 15th each year.
Most institutional Scholarships are disbursed on the 60th day of the fall and spring semesters. Prior to disbursement, amounts are adjusted to reflect the current enrollment status. If a student’s account is past due or the GPA is below the minimum requirement, the awards are forfeited.
Presidential Scholarship
Merit Based. Essay Required. A minimum High School GPA of 3.0 is required. This award is renewable annually if a GPA of 3.0 is maintained.

Honors Award
Merit Based. Essay Required. A minimum High School GPA of 2.5 is required. This award is renewable annually if a GPA of 2.5 is maintained.

Bay State Grant
Awarded annually to students who maintain a 2.0 GPA.
Community Service Award
Merit Based. Students must apply each year. Essay and documented community service experience required. Award amounts vary based on hours of service performed. Award amounts increase for 3rd and 4th year students who performed services in a leadership role.

Housing Grant
Awarded to students residing in the Residence Halls. FAFSA application required. Unmet need must equal or exceed grant amount.
Mentoring Award
Merit Based. Students must apply each year. Essay Required. Available to 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. An interview is required for consideration. Students perform a mentor to students new to Bay State College.
Louis F. Musco Award
This award is presented to the first year student who combines good scholastic ability with outstanding college participation. The funds are applied to the student’s second year at Bay State College. Recipients of this award must be full-time for the entire academic year.
George J. Brennan Jr. Award
This award is presented to the student who has attained the highest academic GPA during their first year at the college. The funds are applied to the student's second year at Bay State College. Recipients of this award must be full time for the entire academic year.
Academic Achievement Award
Merit Based. Essay Required. Minimum GPA of 2.0 required. This award is available to 3rd and 4th year students.
International Students Award
Merit Based. Essay Required. Minimum GPA of 3.0 required. This award is available to 3rd and 4th year international students.
DECA Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who are active members of DECA at their high school. This scholarship is renewable each year as long as a GPA of 2.7 is maintained.
Yellow Ribbon Match
Bay State College matches the VA Yellow Ribbon portion of Veterans benefits.
Contingency Funds
Contingency funds provide additional assistance to students unexpectedly facing a financial hardship. Funds awarded on a case-by-case basis. Awards are determined by a committee. These funds will be awarded to current students, who are suddenly faced with a temporary financial challenge which hinders their ability to continue at Bay State College.
Federal and State Grants, Scholarships, Loans and Work Study Programs
There are many federal and state grants and scholarships available to prospective students. Specific information and the application process may be obtained at the Office of Financial Aid. Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, (FAFSA), is required annually for consideration of most federal and state financial aid programs.
