Medical Office Administration

Have a knack for business but a passion for healthcare? The Medical Office Administration program at Bay State College might be right for you!

And better yet, jobs for medical office administrators are increasing rapidly to meet the needs of a growing population.

The Medical Office Administration program provides a wide range of management and customer service skills as they relate to the smooth and efficient operation of a medical office or specialty practice.

This program prepares the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume responsibility in a hospital, clinic, medical office, research lab, or public health departments. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology and procedures as well as general office skills.

Medical Office Administration professionals perform a variety of administrative duties including maintaining patients’ records, filing medical records, handling correspondence, facilitating doctor/patient communication, scheduling appointments, and performing third-party billings.
