In fact, from 2010 – 2020, employment of accountants and auditors is projected to increase by about 16%.* The growth is undoubtedly due to the focus on strong, rigorous, ethical accounting practices and transparency. Private and public companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations all need qualified bookkeeping, accounting, and financial professionals.

The program is a part of the overall Management degree, so in addition to accounting knowledge, students will have the opportunity to develop intellectual, interpersonal and communication skills that will contribute to a graduate’s success in the business world.
In addition to preparing graduates for careers as bookkeepers, accountants, or auditors, a degree in Accounting could open a number of opportunities in a variety of fields. Graduates can find careers as budget analysts, cost estimators, financial analysts, loan officers, personal financial advisors, tax examiners, tax collectors, or tax revenue agents. While most of these careers require a Bachelor’s degree, students who successfully complete the Associate’s in Accounting will be well-prepared for Bay State’s Bachelor of Science in Management, with concentrations in Finance, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or Management Information Systems. Students may also consider moving on to Bachelor’s programs in Accounting at other colleges after completing their degrees at Bay State.

Does your school offer Financial Aid?
Yes, financial aid is available to those who qualify. Each student will work individually with their Admissions rep and financial aid rep. Over 85% of Bay State College students receive some form of Financial Aid. The College offers several types of scholarships and grants.
