Bay State College students giving back through an alternative spring break trip

Bay State College Mission Statement: "...preparing them to achieve their full potential as ethically and socially aware citizens."

Community Service is at the very core of who we are as a college. It's part of our mission statement. It's our first year students taking part in their first Day of Service. It's our upperclassmen traveling to Delaware on a Habitat for Humanity Spring Break trip. It's our faculty and staff taking part in two days of service per year.

As a community, Bay State College strives to create an atmosphere where students develop service as a life-long value and continue to be involved in their community well after they leave the College. Each year, Bay State College students dedicate thousands of hours supporting a number of community-based organizations.

For the sixth year in a row, Bay State College has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. For the past three years Bay State was named to the Honor Roll With Distinction, an honor only 140 Colleges and Universities Nationwide received. In our opinion, for a school of 1,200 students, this award makes us one of Boston's most altruistic colleges.
