International Students FAQ
I have never taken the TOEFL or IELTS. Can I still apply?
Bay State College does require proof of English proficiency. However, if you have studied at a language school or live close to our campus, Bay State may waive the TOEFL on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our International Student Advisor, Stella Lee (slee@baystate.edu) to see if you qualify.
Can Bay State College help me apply for a student visa?
Absolutely! You must first be accepted to the College. Then, your admissions counselor will walk you through the I-20 process.
If I come to Bay State College, can I live on campus?
Bay State College does allow students to live on-campus! Our residence halls are located in Boston’s historic Back Bay, just minutes away from the Boston Public Gardens and Copley Square.
I do not currently have official high school transcripts. Are unofficial acceptable?
Bay State College will require official transcripts before you are allowed to register for classes, so it is best to request them from your high school as early as possible.
Do international students qualify for any financial aid?
International students qualify for a Bay State grant of $3,000 (based on full-time enrollment) . International students can also apply for a Presidential or Honors Scholarship if their GPA is high enough to do so. Your admissions counselor will let you know if you qualify once transcripts are received.
