Jill Thibault is a Boston, MA, resident. She graduated from Rhode Island School
of Design with an MFA in Textile Design in 2009 and joined the faculty at
Massachusetts College of Art and Design as an instructor in the Fashion
Department creating innovative curriculum in Creative Textiles, Digital Printing,
Millinery and Costume Design. In 2014 she joined the Fashion Department at Bay State
College teaching Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for Fashion Design, Portfolio
Development and Specialized Fashion.
She began her career at The Boston Ballet as the head Crafts Artisan and Dyer
where she worked closely with award winning costume designers for over 12
years. Her current work involves millinery, dyeing and painting costumes for major
motion films and the television industry where she is able to apply tradition textile
techniques to one of a kind garments. In addition to her extensive portfolio her creative
focus is currently on building knitted fabrics from hand and industrial processes.
