Matthew Penney
Background
Professor Penney teaches Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy Intervention in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. He is co-owner of Advanced Sports Therapy and board certified in the field of Sports Physical Therapy. Professor Penney is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He also teaches in the Exercise Physiology Department at Northeastern University and works as an Athletic Trainer at Tufts University.
Professor Penney is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He lives in Wakefield with his wife Kim and sons Bryan and Jack and enjoys coaching his children in their youth sports.
