Full-time professor in the Department of Fashion, Professor Kaplan currently teaches History of Fashion, Textiles, and Styling for the Fashion Industry.

Interests & Hobbies

Professor Kaplan's interests include vintage and antique clothing and social history. Professor Kaplan’s first career was as a Registered Dietitian before pursuing her true love, historic fashion. She has enjoyed ballet and jazz dance since she was nine years old and is still involved with the Rhode Island Dance Company.
