Jennie M. Erdle
Background
Jennie joined the Bay State College community in the summer of 2008. In her role as Director, she oversees the Student Activities Department within Office of Student Affairs. She handles all student programming, the supervision of student clubs and organizations, the Leadership Institute and community service programming efforts for all full-time Day Division students. Within her role she also organizes the logistics for the First Year Experience program (FYE), Dean’s List receptions, and Bay State College's Day of Service. Jennie also co-advises the Peer Mentor program for the college. Jennie is responsible for maximizing Student Activities fee in her advisory role with Student Government Association.
Prior to her position at Bay State, Jennie served as the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Leadership at Babson College for five and half years. Over the years, Jennie has worked in a variety of areas within the higher education field including Greek life, specifically the men’s fraternity system, multicultural student programming, managing the reapplication process for special interest housing, orientation, a hearing officer for Judicial Affairs and as a counselor for the Admissions and Enrollment Departments. Jennie has also worked at several institutions including New York Chiropractic College, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Cornell University’s Cooperative Extension before arriving at Bay State College.
Education
Jennie earned her Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees in Sports Communication, Public Communication, and Recreation Administration with a concentration in Fitness/Facility Management and Design from Ashland University (Ohio). In 2006, she completed her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from Boston College (MA). Jennie was recognized by The Massachusetts Association for Woman in Education in 2006 as the Graduate Student/New Professional of the Year. Jennie is an active member with the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), and formerly served as the Executive Treasure for the Massachusetts Association for Women in Education (MAWE). Over the years she has been involved as a presenter and served on committees associated with the each of the associations.
Interests & Hobbies
Personally, Jennie enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking random road trips around New England, watching old movies, camping, reading, and is committed to voluntarism. If the weather is nice, you will often find her around a campfire with family in her hometown in Upstate New York.
