Janet Howes

Background

Professor Howes teaches classes in Sports Entertainment, Entertainment Law and Ethics, Entertainment Business. Entertainment Services and Marketing, Film/TV Production Management as well as Mass Media and Public Speaking.  Janet teaches both on ground and on line classes.

She recently returned from Vancouver, BC where she worked for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympics as a Venue Manager for Transportation at the Vancouver Olympic Paralympic Centre which held Curling.  Ms. Howes has worked for 2 other Olympics. She worked in Transportation for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece at the Peristeri Boxing Hall and in Event Management for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games at Rice Eccles Stadium for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Interests & Hobbies

Professor Howes has stage managed for a number of theaters in Boston, New Hampshire and Florida. She has staged managed shows such as Joan Rivers Broke and Alone in Boston, Olympia Dukakis as Rose and the one woman show starring Elaine Stritch. Janet has stage managed for a number of Celebrity Series of Boston productions.
