Craig Pfannenstiehl

In addition to oversight of Bay State College, President Pfannenstiehl serves as a voting member of the College’s Board of Trustees. President Pfannenstiehl spearheaded the reorganization of the College's management team; initiated and managed the development of the College’s first fully integrated strategic plan; developed the school’s strategy for online programs; and oversaw its transition into the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in 2008. President Pfannenstiehl recently joined the board of Pearson's Service Learning Advisory Committee for private sector, career colleges.  The board will guide career institutions in their efforts to launch and expand upon service learning, which aligns students’ community service with their studies to enhance their learning experience

President Pfannenstiehl earned his CFA in 1998, his Master of Business Administration from Boston University in 1998, and his B.A. in Economics with a minor in French from Hobart College in 1992.  In 2009, he was elected co-chair of the Executive Fundraising Committee of Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, MA.  In 2009, he was elected President of the Board of Directors of MAB Community Services, the oldest social service agency in the nation, where he was the Treasurer (2007-2009), on the Executive Committee (2007 - present), and Chair of the Finance Committee (2007 – 2009).

President Pfannenstiehl is married with three children.  He is an avid runner, has competed in 6 triathlons, and just completed his first marathon (Boston) in 2011 at age forty-one.
